Kimberlee Whaley
Kimberlee Whaley is a fine art and commercial photographer working out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her photographs are informal studies that aim to make emotionally-charged art out of her surroundings—domestic settings, frequented buildings and the natural areas she spends time in.
Kimberlee received her BFA in Photography from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design in 2003. The following year she was awarded a Jerome Travel Grant to continue working on her final year project Fragments in hometown of New Bedford, Massachusetts. In 2007 Kimberlee received a State Arts Board grant to work on her winter landscape project Plateau.
Images from Plateau, as well as her projects MonoWood and Drift were exhibited in a number of group shows in 2008.
